The Fifth Annual “The Great Gathering of Chefs” will bring together 150 of some of the world’s most celebrated chefs. It is the launch party for the book “SMALL THINGS SAVORY & SMALL THINGS SWEET”. Participating in the book are many influential chefs, so famous as to require but one name – Emeril, Daniel, Cat, Nobu and Jean-Georges, just to mention a few.

Another legend thriving under a single name is the renowned photographer Battman, a.k.a. Alan Batt. It is “Small Things Savory & Small Things Sweet”, the latest book in his stunning series of brilliantly photographed food that unites the artists of cuisine with each other and the man who captured each dish in blazing color.

The event will afford guests a totally unique opportunity. They will be able to meet and speak with the attending chefs, sample signature dishes from “Small Things Savory & Small Things Sweet”, and get books autographed by not one chef, but all the attending chefs.

Participating chefs are joining forces to sign the first 100 books to raise funds for “Action Against Hunger”, and have fun taking part in the longest autograph table in modern history. It winds in serpentine fashion through the vast Prince George Ballroom in New York City.
The year’s most extraordinary conclave of illustrious movers and shakers of pots, pans, palates and pens will take place in October, 2009.
